3 Reasons February is a Good Time to Visit New Orleans

Must See Mardi Gras Parades

It’s no secret that New Orleans hosts one of the best parties in the world, Mardi Gras. While the Carnival season kicked off January 6th, there is a full schedule of activities leading up to Mardi Gras, which is happening February 25th. The greater New Orleans area will actually see about 80 parades this year, each with its own festivities so it’s an amazing time to be vacationing here. New Orleans has an incredible cultural diversity making it a perfect place to celebrate Black History Month – a time that honors the achievements by African Americans recognizes their central role in U.S. history. There are numerous events going on citywide. Enjoy a Literary Jazz Brunch, Historic New Orleans Tour, African Art Panel Discussion, or a gospel music showcase at the Audubon Zoo to name just a few activities that will be taking place.
