Arts & Culture Scene Brings Life to New Orleans

Inside view of an ornate, elegant theatre with red theatre seats and gold accentsThe arts and culture scene in the city of New Orleans has a long history. It even dates back to the earliest years when the French settled here in the 18th century! The French brought a love and appreciation for the arts that has continued to this day in NOLA. We are so fortunate to live in an area honors and celebrates the local artists, artisans, musicians, performers, and all that keep our vivid arts scene alive. Do you have a love for the arts? There are so many amazing cultural events offered year-round here so we encourage you to come and enjoy some live theatre, music, or one of the many productions going on.

The cultural arts season typically begins in September and runs through May of the following year. There is always something going on so whether you like to plan ahead or take last minute adventures, we can help you find something fun to attend! In fact, right away at the beginning of November we have Jazz in the Park going on at nearby Louis Armstrong Park.
