Two African American men on a stage playing a guitar and a saxophone in front of a blue curtainIt is no secret that New Orleans is famous for hosting incredible events and festivals. It’s one of the things that draws people back year after year. It’s simply an amazing city to visit and if you’ve been thinking about a spring getaway, there’s a fantastic event coming up, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and we’d love to be your hosts!

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival will be taking place April 27-May 6, 2018. It is a 10-day feast that celebrates the Louisiana Culture and brings in more than 400,000 visitors each year. It is truly an unforgettable event with music happening on multiple stages, the best Louisiana cuisine, and amazing craft artisans. It all takes place at the Fair Grounds Race Course, just 10 minutes from the French Quarter.

Enjoy the incredible Festival’s Crafts, which include the diverse works of hundreds of regionally and nationally acclaimed artists. The Congo Square African Marketplace is brimming with culture as a variety of artisans exhibit both ancient and modern crafting techniques. The Contemporary Crafts areas will showcase jewelry, paintings, leather goods, musical instruments, handcrafted clothing, photographs, sculptures and more. Finally, at the Louisiana Marketplace you’ll find even more treasures from photographs to jewelry to Creole and Acadian furniture—all representing that which is unique about the state’s culture.

The best part of any great festival is of course the food! My goodness there will be no shortage of amazing delicacies to sample at this festival. Po-Boys, Cajun Jambalaya, Crawfish Bread, Muffulettas, BBQ Brisket, Beignets, Meat Pies, Gumbos, and more. It’s hands down one of the best yearly events for finding amazing food!
