Breakfast & Snacks

New Orleans is known for its wonderful southern cuisine. Canal Street Inn will serve you a healthy, yet substantial Continental Plus breakfast at the main dining room table. Breakfast is served each morning between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. An “early bird” snack is provided for those guests leaving before 8 am. Organic coffee, expresso and snacks are available 24 hours in the breakfast room.

Wi-fi

Wi-Fi is available. You must obtain the password from a staff member. If you need access to a printer, please see a staff member for assistance.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited indoors and is only permitted outside. Ashtrays are provided on the front porch and under the porte cochere on the driveway.

Parking

Off-street parking behind the Inn is free and first come first serve (there are limited spaces available). There are also parking spots on the street (free) surrounding Canal Street Inn.

Amenities

Each room has an individual hair dryer and iron/ironing boards.

Housekeeping

Reuse and reduce- We are committed to conserving energy and water.  Your bed linen will be changed every third day.  We will change sooner based upon request.  If you want to use towel again, leave towel on hook.  If you want towel replaced, leave on floor. 

Visitors

Guests are welcome to have visitors in the parlors, dining rooms, sitting areas and their guest rooms. Overnight visitors are not permitted. If you would like a visitor to join you for breakfast, please let us know the night before. There is a $15/person charge for this service with 24 hours notice.

Canal Street Inn Dogs

Chocho is the innkeeper’s bulldog. He lives on the first floor and should not be in the public areas of the house. Chocho is protective of his private area and his owners, so please do not enter the first floor/basement area.

Ali is the innkeeper’s dog. Ali was rescued from a local rescue organization and has since made her way into the hearts of many guests. She is a princess in all aspects of the word, changing outfits numerous times a day.
